Lin is a SENG Model Parent Groups (SMPG) trained facilitator for in-person and online sessions to facilitate connection and to foster the bonding process. She has special interests to provide facilitations around 2e, minority, and/or HG/PG topics.
SENG Model Parent Groups (SMPG) involves 2-3 co-facilitators, together with 10-20 parents of gifted and talented children, and focus on weekly topics such as communication, motivation, discipline, stress management, and relationships. Although co-facilitators are knowledgeable about parenting and educating gifted children, they do not attempt to give expert advice but provide a non‐judgmental, safe, and nurturing environment for participants to share and exchange information.
Lin and her facilitators offer 6-week online and 6-8 week in-person SMPG sessions, and provide additional resources geared toward specific issues faced by 2e, minority and/or HG/PG families, whenever targeted focus groups are held.
